JD was born in this American World in a cool Wednesday afternoon in July of ‘92...and his folk roots quickly molded into his rebellious soul while Baby Got Back by Sir Mix Alot flooded the radio and Jazz by Toni Morrison awoke our minds. His deepest inspirations break out through blusey vocals, heavy drum kicks, and twangy guitar riffs when he crushes covers from anything between Tom Petty, The Avett Brothers, & Johnny Cash, to John Mayer, Rayn Adams,& Nirvana. His mind is a jukebox, and he likes to be tested, just bring a couple quarters. Come through with your deep cut request or just come for the show, it’s bound to be a good one. Since the fall of 2015, JD Casper has become a consistent vibration in downtown Austin, performing regularly on sixth street rooftops, like Handlebar and Blind Pig, and also for happy hour crowds at Unbarlievable, Bufords and more.
